Parent-Child Headswap

For one of my visual assignments I did the parent-child head swap:

As you can see the heads have been swapped. I choose this picture cause it was easy to crop out the heads and swap them since it was in a white background and I thought it’d be funny to have a child holding up his dad like that. I then used some lightening/darkening and color correction to smoothly blend the skin tones of each of the heads to the body.

  1. I laughed out loud at this one. I love how you left the baby’s head a bit small for the adult body. It increases the creepiness.

  2. Saag … Awesome “head swap” creation. I can see from your other work and images on your blog that you definitely have an “eye for design”. As one who is struggling to figure out the different tools within Photoshop Elements 6 (which I gather is a “watered-down” version of Photoshop), I appreciate viewing images such as yours which demonstrate your skill.

Thanks for sharing the item that it is easier to swap heads from an image with a white background. I was not aware of this fact and anytime I can learn something that simplifies a process, I am eager to adopt it. In fact it would have helped me so much when I swapped heads with yams in my post entitled “I yam having so much fun learning!” at: http://life-long-learners.com/i-yam-having-so-much-fun-learning/

Perhaps I will look for an image with a white background and start swapping heads.

    Thanks for sharing your talents.

Take care & keep smiling Smilie: :-) Brian

    • Thanks Brian, I am always willing to share. Photoshop and designing is just something that comes with experimenting, so the more you experiment, the more you’ll learn and be able to use those techniques in various designs.

  3. You did an awesome job with this swap! Although it’s really creepy looking, it’s actually pretty funny.

  4. Wow, that is just beautiful and weird together! What a great choice, the swap in bodies and expressions is priceless.

  5. Helpful details! I have been hunting for anything like this for a time currently. Thank you!

  6. This is excellent and hilarious at the same time. The expression on both of their faces is just priceless. Job well done!

  7. Hahahaha! I thought it is a father and Son but it vice versa! The Son who carry the Father. LOL! Smilie: :) More post like this! You make the world laughed…
